America is facing a series of complex problems. Mounting debt is stifling the futures of our children and grandchildren, communities are being splintered because of crime and a flawed criminal justice system, our nation’s failing education model is taking parents out of the driver’s seat, and the list goes on. Americans from all walks of life are passionate about making things better. Solutions are possible, but only if we work together while preserving the unifying thread of our core beliefs: economic opportunity, freedom and justice, thriving families and communities.
This important work begins by listening to one another and participating in discourse meant to drive us forward, together. We must put our self-centered interests aside to engage our neighbors; otherwise, we will let perfect be the enemy of good. This is the only path to a united, flourishing future.
