Freedom & Justice
Overview
The United States, with the adoption of its Constitution in 1788, is the oldest democracy in history. The key to America’s success is the separation of powers between the federal and state governments (federalism) and within the three branches of the federal government while enshrining the individual rights of Americans in the first ten amendments to the Constitution.
As the states have increasingly ceded their authority to the federal government and the separation of powers within the federal government has been undermined by the modern administrative state, Americans have become distrustful of their government and frustrated with its inability to solve real-world problems.
A Unified Solution
Unify.Us is working to restore trust in America’s institutions by restoring the proper balance of power in our government. We’re accomplishing this by promoting state legislative responses to public policy issues, restoring the balance of power between the three branches of the federal government, ensuring ballot integrity and access to voting, protecting the First Amendment, and defending equal access to justice while maintaining public safety. We address issues of freedom and justice by designing and advocating for best-in-class policies on the following issues:
- Free speech and free exercise
- Public safety and prison reform
- Regulatory reform revitalizing the separation of powers
- Ballot access and integrity
- Mismanagement and waste of taxpayer funds
